We need to talk about Kevin
Kev Hopgood is a freelance illustrator and comic book artist with many years experience working for publishers in the UK and US. His first break came shortly after leaving art school when he landed the gig as penciller on the Zoids comic strip for Marvel UK.
Work on Action Force, Doctor Who and 2000 AD followed which led onto probably his best known credit, his two year stint as the penciller on the Iron Man comic book for Marvel Comics. During his time on the book he designed the War Machine and Hulkbuster characters that have since made appearances in several Marvel Studios movies.
Since his days in the comic book trenches he’s expanded his client list to include children’s book and educational publishers. Past clients include Oxford University Press, Penguin Random House, Collins, Franklin Watts and Usborne. He also works as a storyboard artist and is available for private commissions. His studio is in Beckenham and he lives in nearby Bromley.
